During the COVID-19 pandemic a new type of hero emerged: Australia’s frontline workers — doctors, nurses, paramedics, teachers, cleaners, retail workers and many more who kept the country going through extraordinary times. The Royal Australian Mint’s 2022 uncirculated year set says thank you to them all, gathering the year’s 5c, 10c, 20c, 50c, $1 and $2 coins in one commemorative presentation.

The centrepiece is the coloured $2 coin designed by the Mint’s Adam Ball, its reverse encircled by twelve pictograms of frontline workers joining hands around a connected pattern representing all Australians.

The obverse of each coin bears the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

The six uncirculated coins are encapsulated and presented on a themed “Thank You” card with a matching illustrated sleeve.
