Since 2020 the Royal Australian Mint — the official Australian supplier of coins to the Tooth Fairy — has marked one of childhood’s happiest rituals with an annual Tooth Fairy $2 coin. The 2023 edition arrives in a charming teal woodland theme, and this uncirculated coin is never released into circulation, making the kit a lovely keepsake for a first lost tooth.

The reverse, designed by the Royal Australian Mint’s Aaron Baggio, depicts the Tooth Fairy resting on a mushroom with a flower in hand, her face peeking out beneath another bloom, with the denomination flowing through the design in graceful script.

The obverse bears the memorial effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, inscribed “ELIZABETH II 1952 – 2022”.

The complete 2023 Tooth Fairy Kit includes the uncirculated $2 coin, a keepsake canvas pouch, a bamboo toothbrush, a floating-glitter fairy pen, a tooth chart to record each lost tooth and a special note from the Tooth Fairy, all presented in a mirrored keepsake box.
